Game Art
Hi, I'm Jacob; an animation major who's pivoted from TV and film to game animation! I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with the chairs of Experimental Animation and Game Art to develop a personalized track for my final two years at LCAD. This tailored curriculum provided me with extensive experience in 3D animation as well as exposure to game engines and broader development pipelines. Beyond my coursework, I have also pursued opportunities to refine my skills and collaborate with peers. In Project Ether, a third-person action/stealth game, I worked remotely with a crew of fifty plus people and created a third of the enemy animations. Then for my senior thesis, my roommates and I tackled a behemoth of a project, Gizmo Gulch, a detective RPG with a heavy emphasis on NPC interactions. As the lead character animator, I produced all character animations and implemented them in Unity. I've greatly enjoyed these experiences and am eager to contribute animation to more game projects in the future!
