Game Art
I am a game designer and game artist who is passionate about creating artistic experiences through all steps of the pipeline. I strive for excellence, originality, and integrity in all of my art and design work. I love creating satisfying, unique, and inspired game experiences both independently and with a team. I have a lifelong history of creating 2D and 3D art of all kinds, and being an artist will always be a significant part of my personal and professional identity.
My senior work consists of Pyrosynchist, an arcade-style infinite runner about steering around obstacles on a motorcycle and destroying demon nests with bombs. I did all game design, prototyping, programming, lighting, and art direction. I also worked with a team of 3 artists who I art directed for in creating the 3D assets and front-end UI. This game is my big showpiece, and it is meant to be a full, well-rounded game experience that is reminiscent of standing arcade games. It is still in development and will soon be published on Steam!
Also included is a 12-day game project done on a team, which is a murder mystery game about confirmation bias. I worked with the narrative lead to design the experience and game flow, I assembled the levels and was part of setting up each game phase's conditions. I did some shader work for the screen shader as well as an object outline shader for interactable objects. My favorite contribution was the lighting and post-processing, which was a very delicate and iterative process.
