Game Art
I'm a Korean American concept artist, illustrator, game dev and drawer-on of faces based in Koreatown, LA! When I'm not concepting or illustrating, I'm learning as much as I can about different forms of art like pixel art, animation, bookbinding, fragrance science, sewing, and recently, cosplay. When I have the opportunity to discover something new about the world around me, I file it away into my mental library to create a unique idea down the line. As a game artist, the other-other thing I do is play games like Breath of the Wild, Hades 2, Baba is You, Professor Layton (if you know it, you're a real one!), and recently, Balatro. I firmly believe that these games are so beloved because the art spoke to worlds beyond our own, so I seek to contribute to similarly incredible visuals with my unique interests and style!
I've contributed to 4 indie games at this point and have learned various methods such as 3D blockouts underneath drawings to solidify art for 3D artists down the pipeline. I've been producer and art director on visual novel game Souls 2 Marriage, currently am working on a solo game dev project called Plantet - in my constant search for knowledge, I'm also going to work on a USC-led thesis game project over the summer to challenge myself and become the best teammate I can be!
