I am a narrative driven, representational oil painter. My work combines the traditional values and techniques used by the old masters, with my own instinctual expressiveness which comes out through my use of color, texture, and intense mark-making.

In my current work I am telling stories rooted in philosophical ideals and/or mythological lore through the aesthetic of rural, small-town America. Combining these two worlds which may seem as if they couldn’t lie further apart from each other creates an interesting dynamic between the seemingly simpler parts of life with the existentially complex realities of existence in the modern world.
